Plane Accident at Cameron Park under Investigation

Cameron Park – The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have begun investigations into the cause of the plane accident that injured two persons in Cameron Park airport on the evening of June 18.

El Dorado County Sheriff officials said two persons were practicing touch and go landings and were taxiing on the runway when a gust of wind sent their single-engine plane to crash and flip over.

Reports said both occupants of the plane suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.

Investigations are still ongoing.
