Small Plane Crash in Malibu, Critically Injures Two People

Malibu, Los Angeles — A small plane crash that occurred in the surf east of Malibu Pier, Los Angeles, left two men critically injured.
Capt. Mike Brown of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. The men obtained critical head trauma, he said.
Meanwhile, a sheriff’s sergeant who is at the scene, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the crash transpired around 100 feet off the beach. The plane sank down in around 30 feet of water.
The sergeant added that the two were flown by a helicopter to the UCLA Medical Center coming form Peperdine University.
A witness said that the two men were pulled put of the plane that crashed by Los Angeles County lifeguards.
The plane that crashed was rented at the Santa Monica Airport, said the sergeant.
Investigation on the cause of the place accident is still ongoing.
