Riverside – City officials have approved posting of warning signs at nearly two dozen railroad crossings in a bid to prevent further occurrence of train accidents in the city.

Officials said the warning sign measures 36 inches at the width and reads: “Look both ways, trains may approach from different directions”.

Last month, an Arlington High School student was killed when a Metrolink train struck him. Train accidents involving pedestrians in the city have increased recently prompting city officials to implement safety measures to reduce and prevent similar incidents in the future.
