Animal Control Officer Injured in Dog Attack

Bell Gardens – An animal control officer was injured when he failed to subdue two pitbulls who attacked her while she was checking a house in the community.

Capt Aaron Reyes of the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority identified the injured officer as Martha Muro. Reyes said Muro was checking on a sanitation complaint at a home when two dogs from the adjacent house got loose and attacked her.

Muro tried to flee from the fence yard but one of the pitbulls was able to bite her.

The two dogs were seized after the incident.
